How To Use AddressPal from AnPost: Step By Step


An Post AddressPal is a mail forwarding service which allows customers to order items from the UK or USA by providing customers with a UK or USA virtual address.

It’s a simple system, but it can be a bit tricky to use if this is your first time using a mail forwarding system. Not to worry, we’ve created a simple step-by-step guide outlining how to use AddressPal.

It works in 4 simple steps:

  1. Sign up and get a virtual UK address and designate your collection point.
  2. Shop online and use your new virtual UK address to checkout.
  3. The merchant will ship to the virtual address and your package will then be forwarded to your chosen pickup point.
  4. You pickup your package at your local pickup point and pay the AddressPal fee (€3.90).

First navigate to the AddressPal website at and click the register button in the far right corner of the screen.

Next you will be met with the information page outlining what you will need to register with the service. This is the typical information you are required when registering with any online service such as name, address, contact details etc.

You will notice you are also required to nominate a Post office or collection point for your parcels. This is the location your parcel will be forwarded to from the virtual UK or US address provided by An post. Click next to continue.


Next you will be prompted to enter your personal details such as name and contact details. You will also create your account password at this stage which you will use with your email to log into the service in future.

Once you’ve filled out these details, you will be prompted to enter your Eircode so the system can locate your address. If you don’t have your Eircode, they have a tool which will allow you to find it or you can manually enter your address into the search bar.

After you’ve entered your address, now you need to designate your collection point. Simply select your County, then Town and then select your nearest collection point.

The next two steps will be simply confirming your details so far; check everything is correct and click next. You will now receive an email requesting confirmation of your request to open an account.

This will bring you to the final step which is to add your payment details. Please note, your card will not be charged, this step is just to have payment details on file should you ever request a home delivery. Normal delivery’s will be paid for on collection at your post office.

And that’s it. You will now be brought to your dashboard where you will see your new forwarding address. Simply use this address as your shipping address when shopping online and your packages will be forwarded to your local post office for collection. You can keep track of your packages through the Addresspal Dashboard.
