MacOS keeps system logs, which help to troubleshoot problems with the operating system. These logs are stored as text files and can the operating system has a dedicated app for viewing them.
Find the system log on your Mac
To view the system logs on your Mac, first launch the Console app. Launch the console by pressing CMD + Space and typing “Console”. You can also find it at Finder – Applications – Utilities – Console.
From here you can view system error logs. Click the “Errors and Faults” tab to view any current faults stored within the OS.
